Nature-Based Expressive Arts Therapy Webinar Series 2026!

Five-Session Introduction to the Principles and Practices of Nature-Based and Expressive Arts Approaches; 15 Continuing Education or Professional Development hours/units include. Join us live or "you do you" and watch the replays at your own convenience.

How are you situated in nature? How do we introduce nature-based approaches to support regulation, synchrony, and restoration of the self? What about the experience of awe and the immune system? And how do nature sounds impact our mental health and well-being-- and how can we apply this important and essential experience in our work? Where does bilateral stimulation fit into all of this? What do we need to think about with climate grief and "nature privilege?" Nature-Based approaches are increasingly becoming part of work with trauma survivors as well as other individuals with various challenges. Gaining a deeper understanding of these approaches is important to all practitioners who work with individuals with traumatic stress. Various approaches found in the autonomic nervous system, sensorimotor, and bilateral stimulation methods, cultural and ecological humility, nature-based and equine and animal-assisted therapy, and expressive arts therapy are foundational to this course.
